The music of Germany’s brilliant Anstam has remained a part of ScanOne and Stormfield’s DJ sets since their very first self-titled 12″s appeared around 2006, shrouded in secrecy.

Later coming out of hiding on Modeselektor’s 50 Weapons label, Lars Stöwe, the Anstam, offered to remix Anodyne’s Empire of Light under his alias Anstam’s Quaint Freud

Precision beats, juddering technoid rhythms and a tense, melancholic euphoria infuse his sound.
