Initially brought to our attention through his work on Baselogic and Colony Productions, Bristol-based James Grant is a colleague of electro wunderkind Ed Chamberlain, and shares similar influences from the electro-assaults of Radioactive Man, Bass Junkie and Tipper.
Unlike Ed though, he tends to strip melodies away and instead creates what he calls Bullet-Bass – the peak-time sonic assault feeling you get when people like the Dexorcist, Kronos Device or the Advent are doing what they do best – destroying dancefloors with body-shaking high-velocity electro.
is a London-based label that specialises in fierce electronic music drawn from the unstable, creative space between electro, dubstep, breakbeat and electronica, combining strong points while keeping bass pressure up at redline levels.
